Colorful antique lithographed game card from the Stephen Sondheim collection

This is one of two cards with what appears to be 17th century cavalier imagery, perhaps from a popular Victorian novel. I assume the disks were to be taken out of the boards and then used in play. With the disks intact the cards provide a colorful tableau and they are enhanced by the age-appropriate antique frames in which I have placed them. This card was part of lot 121 sold by Doyle as part of the Stephen Sondheim Collection on November 14, 2024. It will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity identifying the lot and sale date.
